Are you the one all your friends seek out for the perfect piece of advice? Do you often find yourself saying, "I told you so?" Or, are you simply confident that you have all the answers? If so, now's the time to share those golden nuggets of knowledge and advice with the rest of us!

What piece of knowledge or advice do you have that you wish you could pass on to everyone else?1

I hold the following quote in very high esteem. I feel that it gives key advice in putting life's ups and downs in persepctive.

"Disappointments have little to do with circumstance and everything to do with perspective." -- TUT

The best piece of advice that's been given to me: "You're not a rock, and that's okay." (Which I interpret as permission to have a wide array of feelings without guilt.)

The best piece of advice that I can give, although cliche? Quit smoking. Eat fiber. Wear sunscreen. Drink water.

The best piece of advice I can give is 'think before you speak.' Some people tend to blurt out, 'whatever', whenever. They can sound so ridiculous sometimes. Also, if you are engaged in a conversation and you don't have enough knowledge of the topic being discussed, listen. You will become wiser this way. Some people say things they have no clue about just to be heard.

Great question Angela...The piece of advice I'd give is: "Don't be afraid to look inside yourself and get to know the person looking back at you."

A second one would be..."Life is learning. Enjoy the course, find something that interests you, and worry less about the grade."

My best piece of advice is, "Breathe. Just stop for a moment and breathe." If you feel that what you're doing is too important for you to stop and focus completely on 3 deep breaths, then you're too caught up in it, and 3 deep breaths is exactly what you need.

Here a passage from Way of The Peaceful Warrior, “ Wake up! Wake up! Soon the person you believe you are will die-so now, wake up and be content with this knowledge: There is no need to search; achievement leads to nowhere. It makes no difference at all, so just be happy now! Love is the only reality of the world, because it is all One, you see. And the only laws are paradox, humor, and change. There is no problem, never was, and never will be. Release your struggle, let go of your mind, throw away your concerns, and relax into the world. No need to resist life; just do your best. Open your eyes and see that you are far more than you imagine. You are the world, you are the universe; you are yourself and everyone else, too! It’s all the marvelous Play of God. Wake up, regain your humor. Don’t worry, you are already free!”

I like genderists advice about its okay to have feelings.

My best advice is: seize opportunities before it is too late.

Thanks for sharing everyone! What great pieces of advice! Keep them coming!

the best advice that i've ever been given is to let the Lord handle everything. give everything on your shoulders, that you're worrying about to him and things will change. it's worked well for me.

p.s. thanks angela for checking out my blog.

Thanks for the advice, pink drama! And thanks for stopping by!

i want to run though the halls of my high school
i want to scream at the top of my lungs
i just found out there's no such thing as the real world
it's just a lie we'll have to overcome

Jen, I respect your post and your belief in those 4 lines from a song, (a song right) but what ever you think becomes your reality. If you thought of other things that would take you to the next level, would you not want those thoughts to become your reality? For example: I started my own business and I want to succeed. Do you think I'm surrounding myself with people who want to go the bars, get drunk, and make an a** of themselves and believe in Jerry Springer as great quality of life and television or do you think I surrounded myself with business owners and and investors who have succeeded before me and follow their system?

These people I surrounded myself with know how not to live the life of:

"I just found out there's no such thing as the real world, it's just a lie we'll have to overcome."

I don't push anything on anyone. Everyone has to take care of themselves. You should read Think and Grow Rich by Napolean Hill.

Something to ponder! Have a great day!!

Tony-
That's not what I meant at all. i interpreted the song quite differently. You can email me if you want to discuss as I don't think this is the place for that.

Fine, then I won't even mention how your birthday is Februrary 14th or how you once thought that Northwestern's campus should have a dome over it so it could be heated.
