Snap Decisions

I am working on a more involved post for tomorrow but in the meantime, I thought I would throw out a question a co-worker brought up at lunch last week -- thanks, David!
If you had to make an instant decision on whether or not to enter into a serious relationship with someone you just met based on their answer to a single question, what would that question be? What would be your own answer to the question?
The first question that comes to my mind is, "Do you like pets, specifically dogs?" My answer to the question is, most definitely...the more the merrier! I love the below quote as it perfectly describes my sentiments towards non-dog lovers!
"I once decided not to date a guy because he wasn't excited to meet my dog. I mean, this was like not wanting to meet my mother." -- Bonnie Schacter, Founder of the Single Pet Owner's Society Singles Group

"Do you smoke?"
my answer: never, ever.
I've lost significant people in my life to the side effects of smoking.. family members, and a very dear friend of mine recently. It's hands down the fastest thing that'll turn me off of someone I might otherwise be interested in. No question.

Do you want kids?
a yes would be an instant deal breaker.

I'd have to agree with you, Jen, on that one. I think I would have to revise my question to "Do you prefer pets or children?" :)

"Raphael or Picasso?"
Answerers of "Picasso" need not apply. :)

Are you open to learning new experiences and sharing each others interests?
Absolutely 100% YES!!!
You come into a relationship knowing what you know. If you are compatible with the other person, then sharing and trying new things together makes a relationship grow stronger. At the same time you learn new things from the other person, take on their interests and past experiences, learn, grow, support, and strentgthen your relationship.
